Each month ISSCO employees select a Kansas City organization as the recipient for receiving our Friday Jeans Day donations. In the month of May, ISSCO employees raised $120, and the company matched that, for FosterAdopt Connect. The total donation was $240, and will support their mission to provide foster and adoptive children a stable, loving and nurturing family environment by support and advocacy for abused and neglected children and the families caring for them.
In observation of Memorial Day, ISSCO, INC. will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 29. Have a safe and relaxing weekend!

ISSCO, INC.'s president, Jake Davis, is attending the 2018 EntreLeadership Summit in San Antonio from May 20 - 23. This inspiring event is aimed at trailblazers, and leaders who aren't ready to settle for the norm. Jake Davis is very excited to be onsite at this one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain knowledge and advice from extraordinary speakers and join over 3,000 other leaders as they embark on a desire for new and different results.
ISSCO is committed to giving back as an organization, and specifically to those in our community that need it most. Each Friday of the month, ISSCO employees are able to donate money to wear jeans to work. The donations are then matched with ISSCO management, and sent to the charity of choice for that month. April's recipient was VCP - Veteran's Community Project.
Mission Statement: Veterans Community Project is dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath for our country. We are determined to make a difference in the lives of homeless Veterans, a task accomplished by the community for the community. We are building a specialized community of tiny-homes and onsite services to provide housing stability and address the underlying cause of the Veteran’s homelessness.

Another generation of ISSCO employees took part in the National Bring Your Child to Work Day on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Sales team member, David Rogers, brought his daughter to ISSCO, allowing her to shadow the various departments and learn more about the fastener distribution world. It's a great way to spend a Thursday and to gain knowledge on what it takes to work hard!

A group of nearly 15 employees at ISSCO volunteered their time on Saturday, March 3rd, to give back to those in need at the headquarters of Harvesters, a Kansas City based food bank that serves a 26-county area. The ISSCO team wanted to model the company's leadership initiatives... to give back. After hours of manual labor, 13,000 pounds of food was sorted and repacked! In addition, the ISSCO crew dropped off 105 pounds of food and toiletries.
In 2013, ISSCO purchased BTM Manufacturing as the custom manufacturing arm of ISSCO. Having a niche manufacturing business such as BTM Manufacturing allows ISSCO to further its daily goal to be your full-service distributor.
